What Is Wealth Building

What is wealth to you? The word, the concept can mean different things to different people. The important thing is to grasp the idea and figure out what the term wealth abundance is to you so you can make a plan to achieve it. Wealth building isn’t going to happen in a vacuum. You must have a mental picture, a strong desire and a strategy to attain it.To begin with let’s take a pragmatic look at what the dictionary says wealth is:

*** A great amount (abundance) of valuable possessions or asset resources;

*** All goods and resources having value in terms of exchange or use

*** A great amount; a profusion

Again, though, the essential thing is to arrive at what it means to you to have true wealth. To some that are barely getting the monthly bills paid “rich” can be an extra thousand dollars. Others might not consider themselves wealthy unless they were millionaires. This might all sound like trivial speculation, but unless we have a clear vision of what we want in this lifetime, it’s not likely that we’re going to get it.

This mode of thinking is called working backwards. We decide what we desire as an end result and work from there to where we are now. We wouldn’t take a trip without a destination in mind (unless the desire was just to experience discovery) and in the same way we need to have a clear picture of where we want to “arrive” at when we are desiring to build wealth.

Do you want to own a certain number of real estate investments? Do you want to have these (and your own home) paid off? Does true wealth look like a specific amount of money in the bank? Maybe, it includes a valuable stock investment portfolio that works both now and for the long term. The best plan to acheive anything we want is to get clear, write it down in detail and then to devise a wealth building strategy.

This mentality is like getting dressed in the morning for our day. We are putting on our winner’s mindset. We are focused like a laser beam on realizing our dream of abundant wealth, whatever form that is. We weed out all disempowering information sources; negative people televison and radio shows that don’t empower us, newspaper and magazine reading that is time wasting and mind numbing. The saying, “garbage in, garbage out” is more than a catchy cliche.

Successful people that build wealth know that it is hard enough without all the distractions to get where they want to be. They put on their winner’s mindset and get into action. They work their wealth building strategy; they write it all down and sharpen it daily like a fine war weapon. They don’t waste time on negative thinking. Rather they surround themselves with anything and everything that will empower themselves to acheive their dream of true wealth.

This is an example that we should follow in our determination to build true wealth for ourselves and our families.
