Enlightened Wealth Institute : Rocky Road To Wealth

We weren’t promised a rose garden when we came into this life. Many of us aspire to have financial wealth and chase after it.  It can be a frustrating, rocky road sometimes. However, the Enlightened Wealth Institute can show us a path to wealth through their wealth building mentoring program.The most necessary thing to make our dreams come true is a burning desire to make it happen. Sly (Sylvester) Stallone says, “I really am a manifestation of my own fantasy.”  Sly is a person who manifested greatness against all odds. He was born in the (then) poor and rough area of New York called, Hell’s Kitchen and he was expelled from fourteen schools before he was thirteen years old. He had a very rocky road to fame and fortune.

Sly had done some acting in films but wanted more than anything to get his screen play for “Rocky” accepted.
The glitch was that he insisted that he play the lead role. No one would accept based on his terms. Sly believed in himself and his talent. Some wanted his screen play but said he couldn’t be the lead actor. Even though he had very little money (it is said he had only $106 to his name when he finally sold the script) and his wife was pregnant he knew what he wanted and he wasn’t going to compromise. He did it his way.

Have you ever believed in yourself that much? Have you fought to keep your dream alive inside even though everything was fighting against you? I’ve had a dream for financial wealth since I was young. I just couldn’t find the right path. I didn’t know the secrets of wealth building. It has only been through my tenacity that I have found my way. Sly’s story and life are very inspiring to me. I can’t say I’ve seen more than two of his movies but this man knows how to
manifest greatness. He says, “Once in one’s life, for one mortal moment, one must make a grab for immortality; if not, one has not lived.” That is a touching revelation of his heart. I don’t want to live a life of mediocrity. It is people like this that help me to continue on the path to manifest my own destiny.

The story of “Rocky” is about an underdog fighter that gets a once in a lifetime chance to fight against a heavyweight boxer. No one ever thought he had a chance to win. It’s a story that tugs at the heart strings of most of us. In some ways maybe it’s Sly’s story in a different setting. He was an underdog; a very rough family life; a rocky road to success. Maybe it’s our story too. Maybe there’s a little of the underdog feeling inside each of us at some point in life.

There is a saying that “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity”. Some of us finally get what we want because we desired it so much that we kept preparing mentally, emotionally and physically. Then one magic day it just happened. The truth is though is that we are the magic, the stuff dreams are made of. We actually can rise higher than we ever could imagine. Sly is the ONLY Hollywood star ever to star in movies that topped the box office charts over a time span of five consecutive decades. The American Film Institute lists Sly Stallone as one of the largest heroes of all time; seventh behind actors such as Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart Gary Cooper and others.

I don’t think he could see that in his imagination when he just wanted someone to buy his screen play and let him act the lead role. Sometimes that’s all we have is the first step to the magnificent plan. When we take that and do it with all our heart things really begin to happen. It is good to surround ourselves with inspirational stories to push on through tough times.

“Rocky” is listed as number four of the American Film Institute’s 100 Most Inspiring Movies throughout time. When I start to get weary on my path and want to compromise my visions, I picture Rocky getting up early in the morning, running up those stairs and I hear the music in my head. That usually does it.
