Hi, my name is Tammy Powell and I’m a full time entrepreneur….I broke lose from the regular day JOB (Just Over Broke) thanks to the courses I took at the Enlightened Wealth Institute.
I can vividly remember the day I quit my job as if it were yesterday! You see, I had been following my goals and applying all the action steps taught to me and by the seventh month after my first enlightened wealth institute course….I joyfully typed up my resignation letter in word and formally resigned with three weeks notice!
The most important thing I did was start to follow my passion and follow the advice of millionaires who have already embarked on the entrepreneurial journey!

Holy Crap - You Quit Your Job?
Gulp - yup - that was the reaction of my friends and family….it wasn’t ‘Hoorayyyy - You did it!”…it was more of a FEAR type of statement to me, “You did what?”
Do you know how much confidence you have to have to withstand that barage of negative comments? I was taught by the enlightened wealth institute that FEAR is only False Evidence Appearing Real.
How I got over my FEAR:
Many friends have asked me this…and I wish I had saved a picture of my dining room (digital cameras were not the rage back in 2003). This is what I did to my dining room to remind me to stay focused and on target to my goals:
- I bought a big white posterboard and thick sharpie markers
- I wrote on the posterboard: FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real
- I taped the posterboard on my dining room wall so I would see it during breakfast and also in the evening not only when I ate, but also when I worked as my dining room table became my evening office with laptop and paperwork sprawled on the table!
- I went to as many enlightened wealth institute courses and free events I could possible go to in order to get a ‘vitamin C’ shot in the arm of MOTIVATION and also be surrounded by like-minded positive individuals.
- I participated in all the weekly calls by Robert G. Allen and his instructors as that in itself kept me motivated and believing in myself.
- Results - I went from a rented one bedroom apartment to 7 months later, quiting my JOB AND then living in a 3,500 square foot luxury home worth over $527,000 that I found in pre-foreclosure. It was my first real estate deal that provided over $100,000 profit!
Other people ask - Where do you get your money to live on…are you selling drugs?
You would be suprised how many people have asked me that as they can’t fathom someone in their late 30’s living a semi-retired life and it is amazing how the first conclusion is that there are drugs involved!
To answer that question - My main money comes from internet/affiliate marketing, consulting and real estate investing.
It is a great lifestyle and right now I’m in the southern region of France checking out real estate investment opportunities as there is a trend towards wine country real estate investment.
While I am travelling, I make sure I spend about ten hours per week online doing my internet marketing.
I believe despite the negative news out there, that it is a phenomenal time to invest in real estate as long as you get a great discount and are educated on your exit strategy. Real estate is the most inflation proof investment and with the Federal Reserve pumping billions of dollars into the money markets, inflation proof investments is what you should be looking at right now!
In case you are wondering if I know what the heck I’m talking about, I was the one on a bandwagon speaking in front of hundreds of investors in California telling them to start investing in gold. This was in 2004 when gold was in the mid-four hundreds…gold last time I checked now in September, 2009…is over $900. Mark my words - gold will hit $2,000 an ounce in the future!
